Senior Game Developer - eLearning

Giggle is seeking a motivated and innovative eLearning Game Developer to join our founding team. As an eLearning Game Developer, you will have the opportunity to craft and shape our learning experiences by creating interactive, compelling, and educational games. This role requires understanding learning theories and a keen interest in video game development and design. We invite candidates who are passionate about gaming, learning, and education to apply.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement interactive gaming applications and learning materials based on the eLearning objectives.
  • Collaborate with educators, designers, and product managers to understand user needs and translate those into game concepts.
  • Incorporate game elements such as scoring, virtual rewards, or competition to increase learner engagement and enhance the learning process.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing game applications to ensure they meet our standards and evolving user needs.
Requirements
  • 7 years working in Game Development, Instructional Design, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Unity, HTML5, CSS3 Javascript game development, or other relevant game development platforms.
  • Strong understanding of modern learning theories and their application to game-based learning.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating excellent communication and critical thinking skills.

Gamification Product Manager

Giggle is on the hunt for a strategic and creative Product Manager for Gamification. In this role, you will steer the creation and implementation of gamification strategies aimed at enhancing user engagement and learning experience. You harness a blend of product management prowess with a keen eye for integrating gaming mechanics in education.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of compelling gamification strategies that enhance student engagement and learning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, developers, and executive leadership, to deliver gamified solutions that align with our education & gamification goals.
  • Regularly perform learner research and peer analysis to understand educational trends and incorporate relevant gamification techniques.
  • Monitor, measure, and report on the success of implemented gamification strategies, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired product outcomes.
Requirements
  • 7 years experience (or equivalent project experience) in product management and gamification, preferably in the edtech/gaming industry.
  • Demonstrable knowledge in the mechanics of gamification, user engagement, and game design thinking.
  • Strong data analysis skills, project management skills, and user-centric mindset.

Content Production Manager / Educator

We’re searching for a passionate and knowledgeable Content Production Manager, with a focus on teaching English as a second language. This role involves creating immersive and effective learning content to gamify beginner/intermediate English language concepts. Candidates should be experienced in content production, exhibit a deep understanding of K12 English language curriculums, and demonstrate an ability to make them accessible and engaging.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and produce engaging English content/learning paths that aligns with our educational objectives and gamification strategies
  • Work closely with PM and tech teams to ensure content is pedagogically sound and user-centric.
  • Review, edit, and update content to maintain its relevance in accordance with the evolving curriculum standards and learner needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s/Advanced degree in English, Education, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in content development or educational content production, with a focus on English.
  • Experience teaching English as a second language, teaching concepts, and the ability to simplify them for varied audiences.
  • Native or equivalent written/verbal English language skills, with an eye for detail and creative flair.
